You may have heard of me...
Robin Goodfellow. Puck. Prankster, joker, raven, fool… King Oberon’s right-hand jester from A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The legends are many, but the truth will now be known as never before, as Puck finally tells his own story and faces a threat to the lands of Faery and the human world unlike any before.
With the Iron Queen Meghan Chase and her prince consort, Puck’s longtime rival Ash, and allies old and new by his side, Puck begins a fantastical and dangerous adventure not to be missed or forgotten.
The Iron Raven features Puck as the main character, and I feel like I have waited for his book since forever!
What a pleasure to be back in Kagawa’s fairylands once more. And even more so to learn much more about Puck, and how he was often somewhat an outsider, but one who wanted to fit in – at least sometimes.
There is trouble in Faerie, and this trouble is so big it might just be too much for Puck, the Iron Fey, and a new possible ally to fight the good fight. The Iron Raven shows a different side of Faerie, now that there is a specific place where the Forgotten have taken up residence. Ethan as their champion is the best chance they have, especially when there’s a different kind of monster out to bring Faerie to its knees – all the courts, and all the fey.
Kagawa, as always, delivered a very strong story and plot, with tremendous character development, some excitement, lots of action, and mesmerizing lore. Her prose is poetic in places, and I was captivated from start to finish. I can’t wait to read more in this spin-off series. The Iron Raven is a strong story that both fans of the Iron Fay series and new readers will enjoy.
